Passitare, as the name implies, is a nation dominated by passion and desire. Travelers, wanderers and adventurers from the entire world gather in this one place in order to fulfill their deepest ambitions. Passitare is the nation that can offer everything you might desire and then some.
Located on the Northwest of Hybrida, the nation's landscape has been severely impacted by its inhabitant’s lifestyle. Due to their roaming nature, overly large roads were paved through the entire nation; airports can be found on each and every city, as well as a variety of inns, hotels, and stores filling the cities’ landscape. Airplanes are constantly crossing the skies and trains and ships leave every few minutes, only to be replaced by another one almost instantly. As most of Hybrida’s citizens are always on their way to somewhere, it’s extremely rare to find a building that is an actual house, and not a form of commerce in a way or another.
The land is governed by politicians elected by the population. One High President rules over the entire nation, while State Presidents rule over states. Only natives of Passitare can vote for those two. On a smaller scale, there are cities, which are ruled by Governors. Anyone in a city’s territory can vote for a Governor in the elections. Elections are held every 12 years.
Most of Passitare’s settled population is formed by the tradesmen of the land, who establish their business and stores in a determined area, in order to answer to the high demand of goods and services the traveling citizens require. As a result, the country has an overly rich and diverse economy.
The economy being heavily controlled by the tradesmen has led to the creation of social classes. They are as follow: Politicians, who are the rulers elected by the people. Commerce Owners, who own one or more business. Workers, who work for the Commerce Owners. While in theory Politicians hold more power than the Commerce Owners, the heavy dependence on trading for the nation’s economy gives Commerce Owners an extremely large influence over Politicians. The working class is considered inferior by both Commerce Owners and Politicians, often living in poor conditions while struggling to fulfill their ambitions. Passersby and adventurers are not included in those classes and are treated with neutrality.
This division of power has led to high violence among the few citizens who have settled in this nation. The situation is anything but improved by the constant conflicts between high rank criminals and vigilantes, some of which possess super human abilities, as is common through the entire continent.
Despite its chaotic society, Passitarians are known to value ambition as one of the greatest characteristics of an individual, and the nation reflects that. No matter what you desire, this city can offer. Wealth, fame, power and knowledge are always a step away from being obtained in this nation. Be it by ethical or unethical ways, one can always find ways to achieve its dreams in this nation.
