Crystallus: Setting

Most maps of Fifth Earth are drawn with Crystallus sitting dead center of the three other continents. This is because of the naturally occurring resource named simply "Power Crystals" Anywhere you find exposed rock, you will find this famous crystal wedged between, glowing brightly. Long before humans ever arrived on this planet, the indigenous races of the other three continents were already harnessing the powers of these crystals. Some wore the crystals as jewelry, just as the crystal people themselves, and gained a small boost in physical abilities. Others, like the wizards, would use the crystals to channel their magic powers.

The crystal people themselves are almost as famous as the crystals. These men and women survive solely off the radiation produced by the crystals. They become supercharged, turning each one of them into an unimaginable powerhouse. Short from trying to take a crystal from them without permission, these people never become aggressive. They love keeping guests entertained and even make sure that guests leave with a souvenir in the form of "Power Crystal" based jewelry. Due to the brilliant stars above and the abundant glowing crystals, night time here is nothing short of awe inspiring. Some visitors never even go to sleep, despite being physically exhausted from trying to keep up with their hospitable but overly energetic hosts. The weather all across Crystallus is moderate year around, never too hot and never too cold. Occasionally, a light rain may come through, but it never storms.
